Student Opportunities
Each year, ABQ Scoliosis and Spine Therapy offers clinical rotation opportunities to help provide physical therapy students with thoughtful and thorough training within a wide scope of patient populations and diagnoses. Our goal is to help better equip physical therapy students with the tools and knowledge they need to learn and grow in the physical therapy field.
Our student rotation program includes the following components:
- An orientation of our facility and introduction of our staff.
- Mentorship with multiple New Mexico licensed and Schroth Certified physical therapists.
- Education on a variety of topics, including patient documentation, Medicare/Medicaid guidelines, HIPAA guidelines, insurance billing and prior authorization, Electronic Medical Records (EMR's), manual therapy techniques and more.
Our highly trained therapists will aid our clinical director in the supervision of clinical rotations and will offer their expertise daily through numerous demonstrations, discussions, and impromptu lessons. Upon completion of the clinical rotation, we love to maintain positive, long-term relationships with our students to aid them in their journey as a physical therapist.
